| An elegant style of rosé, displaying more citrus and yeast notes than berry. It finishes lean and dry. Try with chilled shellfish or charcuterie. Drink now through 2009. 825 cases made. Light orange with a slow bead. Spicy, gently smoky redcurrant and blood orange aromas are impressively precise and nervy. Brisk, very dry red berry and citrus flavors are pleasantly bitter and finely etched, with dusty minerals adding further vivacity. Utterly stains the palate, finishing dry and with rapier-like cut. I love this wine's uncompromising personality. This is a blend based on 60% chardonnay (from Mesnil), with the rest pinot noir from the estate's home premier cru village of Bisseuil and Ambonnay.
